project 2 Networking definitions

My definition was LAN. LAN means Local area network. I could not explain this to my peers until I read several websites about what a LAN is. I actually use LAN in my own home and at work. Prior to my reading definitions and example I could not explain it to my peers, coworkers and family members. This was a good experience. I use LAN to access the internet and IPTV in my home. I did not know that people used it for gaming and home theatre. We use LAN to share a network printer at work. Rochelle

assignment 1 administrative tasks

Well the first assignment I had some glitches with posting stuff to the web server and having the appropriate Java tools to put images in my postings. I hope to work out the kinks soon. I really enjoyeed reading the introductions of my classmates and viewing the pictures. I was envious at the same time that their pictures showed up in their posting and I was unable to post mine. I had to use file attachments for my postings. Its just not the same. Rochelle Sept. 3, 2009
